A 5-Star Boutique Hotel In Saigon, Among Others To Be Promoted In Cannes Festival


Every tourism industry in every nation in the world aspires for one thing: a stably big number of tourist arrivals that is continuing to grow bigger on an annual rate. To achieve a remarkably high amount of tourist arrivals especially during the peak season, the state, together with the service providers from the tourism industry need to work hand-in-hand in promoting the country’s numerous tourist destinations. Fortunately, for the city of Ho Chi Minh, also known as Saigon City, in the country of Vietnam, there has been an initiative to promote the city- its tourism and cinema industries respectively, in the recently-conducted Cannes Film Festival which was held in Cannes, France last May 17 to 18 of this year.  The said promotional initiative was jointly launched by the Vietnam Cinema Department and the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City according to the organizers during a press conference. This way, foreign vacationists will be more aware about the city, its vast history, its deep culture, a number of 5-star boutique hotel in Saigon where they can possibly stay, some of the tourist destinations they should visit in Vietnam, among others

Aside from a 5-star boutique hotel in Saigon and other places in the city that were promoted during the said festival, one of the things that surely captured the attention of the attendees of that festival is the impressive line-up of images of the awesome Son Doong Cave which served of the settings used during the filming of 2017 blockbuster film, Kong: Skull Island. The Son Doong Cave is one of the caves located in Central Vietnam and the photos were used to promote  that Vietnam is an ideal place for Hollywood filmmakers to shoot heir next movie. In addition to this, Ly Nha Ky, the Vietnamese tourism ambassador for 2011 and 2012 respectively, sponsored 3 banquets during the said festival which allowed foreign investors, film makers and businessmen to meet with the members of the Vietnam cinema industry which were present during the said event. The cinema department also set up information booth during the event to seek investments and corresponding cooperation from present global partners.
